The purpose of the this tailor made system is to provide the opportunity for prospective candidates with recognized existing qualifications (obtained prior to gaining entry /acceptance into a NAIU programme), gain entry into NAIU programmes and/or obtain exemptions or cross credits into corresponding subjects/modules of the particular programmes.

The qualifications here would be those that are equivalent to the minimum entry requirements that the candidates should possess in order to gain entry into a particular NAIU programme or those equivalent to the specific modules or stage within the particular NAIU qualifications or programmes.

The aim of this recognition is not to compromise the standards of the University's entry policy and requirements but to enable the following:-

• Enable other qualifications to be equated / cross-credited with particular NAIU programmes.
• Allow suitable candidates to use their prior qualifications to gain advanced entry onto a NAIU programme.
• Enables suitable candidates to save costs and time by utilizing their prior qualifications when entering a NAIU programme.
• Enable NAIU to establish reciprocal arrangements with other educational institutions and professional bodies.
• Determine the level that the applicant would measure in terms of a NAIU qualification.
• Assess the standing or equivalence of a qualification as compared with NAIU qualifications.

The institutions or candidates submitting their qualifications for the credit consideration need to ensure that they match with the particular NAIU's qualifications in the areas of credit/learning hours, syllabus contents, learning outcomes or assessment methods etc
